Christina Martens is the artist behind Blue Ladder Paper. Originally a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she now lives in Washington, DC, with her husband and two young sons.

Why paper? A handwritten note is something you receive and open with two hands. It’s tangible, authentic, and intentional. You can’t simply swipe, delete, or forward it. Notes require you to slow down, be present, and connect with others in meaningful ways.

Her designs are inspired by her love of organic shapes and colors found in nature, travel, architecture, and geometric patterns. She finds joy in working with her hands to create designs that are both playful and colorful.
